What do you think of the Track Limit? Should they have been more lenient? It was a few milimeters and I don't think Lando would gain if he touched the sand.
I agree with you but better safe than sorry , if we start making distinctions between where you can and can’t gain time , where back to the crap from last year

The Mclaren team though was appealing during the break but nothing changed. They felt that the FIA used all their strictness taking that decision which I might have to agree. I don't see them being that harsh with Ferrari, Red Bull or Mercedes. Maybe I'm mistaken.

Still bothers me that the car is not as fast at the moment compared to smaller teams like Alfa Romeo and Haas despite bringing more.

How is it possible that every problem happens to Daniel? What are they doing on his side? How did it happen to be denied another try to see if he could get Bottas?

They used the new set of softs on the first run and apparently felt they weren't going to improve on the used set so didn't even bother to try.

Are you telling me that being 1.2 off the pace was with the new set?

According to the teamstream in the McLaren app, yes.

Very strange given the much smaller gap to the front in Q2 for Daniel

I find it hard to believe seeing the team getting behind Haas and Alfa when they were in front of them by some tenths with just tweaks. They even brought the biggest amount of updates than them. Is the old Wind Tunnel and the simulator that far off reality?

The amount of updates matters little if they don't work or you don't yet fully understand them. It's a lot more complex than more=better.

P9 for Daniel and P11 for Lando from a controversial decision was the best for how much they understand the package for this race at least. Hopefully the team is gonna continue tweaking the upgrade and gain a lot of time from that.

"White lines define the track" should be a hard rule to avoid ambiguity.

But can the stewards give us the timings? Did he gain time by going out there? If he didn't gain any time I don't see why he should have had his time deleted. Track limits are good and all but don't those exist in order not to get a time advantage?

Lando was almost on the gravel in the corner where he went off track limits... No way he gained time. He may have even lost time. But rules are rules...

That is the problem with the rules. Track limits should exist to avoid getting an advantage either by gaining time or exploiting them to make a pass. That isn't the case here and in my opinion shouldn't incur a time deletion.
