I don't want to waste time in Alpine F1 team. I hope Alonso as well. Alonso should move and wasting time in Alpine will not give anything to him. Alpine to win races may be with after 20 years.

thanks keep it up.

I have no idea what it is. Again today we had another screw up in Quali. Alonso was rushed for no reason. He also left late for his 1st run, not sure why they left so late for that first run.

it's already a trend

Fernando also admitted a new part on Ocon's car. "A small update I don't have on mine (car)"

They were slower than in FP, and the car is always a little bit unbalanced

He said in an interview, the team and him messed up with the timing left. He thought is not going to make it on time.
But weird that on Friday he was looking stronger that what was shown today. Even in FP3 looked good

conditions were different, though. Yesterday was (and today even more so) much hotter, so some teams needed to change their car to allow more cooling. Aston Martin was suffering from the same, for example, resulting in slower lap times than in practice

Like I said, yes it was a little warmer ..
           FP2 Quali
Track temp 45C 48C
Air Temp 31C 35C
Wind S3KPH S4KPH
From a cooling perspective, the car wasn't setup any different.

Quali
I presume they have the same vents on he top of the sidepods but no vents on the side of the PU, so same a FP2 & FP3.

As such Alpine have opted to fit his A522 with a new engine, the Spaniard’s grid position minimising the 10-place grid penalty.

Great recovery drive ....Plus they pocketed a Free PU to replace the one that broke in Saudi. Plus it was just the ICE that Broke and we now have extra TC + MGU-H.

Win win.

Is the luck turning around ?

Well we did have that 6 second pit stop at the end...We could have challenged Norris otherwise.

Good race today. Norris looked close but Fernando boxed two laps later and with that slow stop he couldn't challenge him.

Impressed with the progress of Mercedes. You can immediately see that the updates worked. As for Alpine, when the A522 competes at a race pace with Bottas, then we can say that the updates are effective.

I am glad that the team sorted out a tire deg
