To be clear i don’t know if S-M-S is optimal but, if caught in a risky situation, it might be plausible, after all even if with less fuel those old softs on the Ferrari still had life enough for a 25.3.

I know it's difficult to compare long runs between FP2 and FP3, a lot of variables were different, not just fuel levels, but also weather and track evolution. But the most interesting part is that they seem to have improved the degradation significantly. This should give Ferrari a good chance to win today. Especially since it looks like it will be two Ferrari's versus one Red Bull.

I haven't been this excited about a Spanish GP for a long time. So many unknowns regarding pace, strategy... Even if Mercedes doesn't have the pace to fight for the win, they might still have a big influence on the strategy of the race leaders.

I hope at least for one race, there won't be any VSC or SC. Let's see the clean race pace of cars.

Bottas would be most likely, BUT considering the caliber of cars/drivers in front of him... it would take some reliability issues from the others to make that a reality. In saying that, run a bit longer, VSC or SC? Cheap pit stop... could be possible. Also, the Hard Tyre or a lot of seems didn't seem to be ideal, despite it's endurance... might help a bit more now the track has rubbered up; I'd expect the teams further down the field to give it a go... probably Aston Martin.

as mentioned above, some teams basically comitted themself to M-H by keeping only one set of mediums for the race. Alfa Romeo is not one of them, so I'd guess they are more likely to plan a two-stopper.

Of course, those with only one medium could also try S-M-S or even S-M-H instead, but I'd doubt it makes too much sense.

Exactly MSC needs to get points. Car is very competitive.

For that to happen, first his car´s rear brakes might not caught on fire again and that prevented MSC to run on FP3 to get a better setup. Considering Norris had better sector times than Ricciardo in all 3 sectors and is starting 11th, I think Mick will not have the pace to score points this time.

Will reiterate that I think Max will DRS his way into another win and I won´t be surprised if Mercedes gets hammered pretty hard in the head in the race and get it´s driver´s fans heartbroken.
