Alfa is the closest midfield car to the top 3.

Lewis has had amazing pace to come from the back of the field set for a possible p5 at the moment.

Hopefully we will optimise the upgrade package to gain a good amount of time. The team should be at least close to Mercedes.

Was it a good idea to put new softs for these 13 last laps?

Yes, wouldn't have gotten to the end without them. Tyre deg very high in the heat.

Pace is good on lower fuel loads seemingly. Pegged the gap to OCO and if anything marginally faster than him. NOR doing an amazing job considering his condition

Norris is very slowly gaining on ocon and where in the mix against haas , Alfa and alpine , as far as im aware that’s where we want to be , tbf to bottas , he has driven exeptionally in the Alfa this weekend but they are far to incosistant
We need to remember that according to the Team , Norris nearly fainted this morning and therefore can’t be getting everything out of the macca

Lando is catching Ocon. I wonder...

Edit: then lost all that gained time in half a lap. Ocon pacing himself.

Also , 2 key factors being the car clearly likes cold conditions and Barcelona has always been a bad circuit for us

RICs pace is the most baffling. He hasn’t been happy at all this race. The differential between NOR and RIC is huge

Look. It's obvious the team hasn't optimised the upgrade package yet. I am confident once we do we will leap a significant amount in front of Alfa and Alpine and close to Mercedes.

It's baffling how a driver who was almost matching Max back in 2018 can be humbled so badly by Lando in so many different occasions.

I mean, the dude was barely standing up during the driver's parade yet he manages to outpace his teammate so hard.

Either Lando is a generational talent being wasted away on the midfield. Or Daniel has been slowly using his edge over the last couple of years

I’l be honest here , I’m not , I think with optimization we can be ahead of Alfa and alpine , but Mercedes are ahead clearly , then again, I’m more of a glass half empty guy
But just as last year , to be able to fend of Alfa and in particular alpine , we need to have two drivers consistently in the points , not one of them who is perfectly healthy being in P13 and the one who nearly fainted this morning fighting the other midpack for decent points
