Sainz. What a disappointment. He should have been covering for Leclerc and winning this race. So gut wrenching. Someone need to have a sit down with Sainz and tell him that he isn't living upto the expectation.
That will literally only make things worse , you think he himself isn’t aware of that , maybe first go tell the engineers to stop munching tyres
According to you McLaren should be currently court marschaling Danny ric , but they aren’t because they realize it wouldnt change a thing
Judging by the sound imho it was a Turbo failure, nothing to do with ICE that had reliability issues at start of season.
Yeah, I heard that whoosh whoosh whoosh noise as it stopped. Almost like a failed dump valve and the air speed was hitting against the turbine sort of sound.

Interesting to note that the same noise cam from zhou‘s engine aswell
Balloon deflating noise, question is is the ICE salvageable? If the ICE (and other parts) are gone he'll be on the verge of penalties by round 7, lots of salt into the wounds.
Would they even have time to ship, disassemble and check the engine in time with this being a back to back?
Sainz needs to up his game if we want to take constructors title. He’s had plenty of bad luck in fairness but that aside he doesn’t seem to have the pace to really challenge for wins and even second/third.
The magic is wearing off a bit, and the team is yet to have a weekend where nothing goes wrong (apart from Bahrain maybe).
Jeddah: Both cars in the wall in FP2 after driver error
Australia: Sainz issues in Q and then driver error in the race
Imola: Sainz driver error in Q and then gravel at T1; Leclerc driver error in the race
Miami: Sainz driver error in FP2
Spain: Leclerc mechanical failure, Sainz in the gravel again
You can’t win the championship (either one) if you’re giving up 5-10 points on average per race. At the moment, even if Max and Charles are fairly even you have to say that Perez is doing a better job vs. Carlos in terms of WCC (despite also having a DNF out of his control, like Sainz in Imola).
