In the meantime Danny got very unlucky as he went to Dry straight and never managed to gain any position due to the Red Flag.
Ricciardo just lost too much time in the race. Anything he gained was neutralized by that huge gap. Gasly was 10 seconds ahead 2 laps after overtaking on inters.

Now we need to get another rain cloud so the race is again thrown into chaos.

No. This is the performance Ric is able to do

Rolling start. Don't expect to be able to gain that position back. I have a feeling that Mclaren botched the strategy a little here. They should have gone straight to dry. Only a brave move from Lando could probably change that but it's a huge risk here.

Best strategy had to be to hold out for hards. If there is a VSC, you gain, if there is a red, you gain, if there is a SC you gain.

Only downside is if Hamilton is able to overtake Oco/Alo and then get into your pit window.

Why are both our drivers on used cards.

Everybody around lando has mediums , what a joke of a strategy

Dropped from Russell by 2 plus seconds already, equally dropped Alonso by the same timeframe

I don't get it. Are they out of medium tyres? Do they expect the medium to drop off fast?

Ferrari did the same. I guess it was a close call.

I'm more surprised how the pace changes. One lap Lando is within a second, then he loses a second or two and then he matches Russels pace.

Hards and mediums look similar on pace, so right call, hopefully pays off as the mediums fade.

Well the Mediums seem to fade or will fade at some point as Norris is catching Russell but even if he catches him can he pass in Monaco?

Does ALO really have atrocious pace or is the Medium really fragile to the end? Norris will be able to get a free pitstop soon. It would be interesting to roll the dice and go for one of softer tyres.

I don't think Lando might have the speed now to get Russell unless the mediums start to drop.

Hopefully our strategy team can go ambitious. They have freedom to do so. Lando could push and use up his tyres and then switch to mediums or softs (not sure how long they last). They have freedom to do so as Alonso is too far back.

Why are they worried about rain? Alonso is 25 second behind.

Norris is gonna have the chance to change tyre and take a glory run to gain the fastest lap
