I compared the driver´s telemetries, using the f1-tempo site, and found out that Mick, in Bahrain´s QLF, lost ~0.175s on T1 alone and ~0.35s on the first hairpin right after the quick right-left hander. That´s the whole full lap gap right there!
These 2 corners aside, he would be equal to Kmag, going by the telemetry comparison. Maybe there is some hope for him to catch up but I still expect the opposite.
On the end of FP3, when they went for a QLF sim, Kmag again streched his legs, easily, over Mick. Kevin set his very quick time right away with no major effort. Mick, on the other hand, was likely aborting laps for making mistakes and when he finally managed to put a lap together, it was again those half a second slower.
Won´t be surprised if Kevin outqualifies Mick by over a second this time around given how challenging this Jeddah track is
