Yup, that's why I think he'll find those 1-2 tenths he's looking for eventually. I really don't think he's that far away either.

Obviously not the start to the season he's wanted but this will be the 4th year in a row he's had a slow start. Still, 4 podiums in 5 finished races is pretty decent. They'll just have to continue working on finding a setup that works for him.

I'm guessing Spa would be their go to for an engine penalty, assuming they want a strong showing in Monza, but if you had to go for a fifth engine, where would you change it?

My guess is they'll try and stretch TC-MGUH 3, rotating them with 1, through ICE-K 2 and 3, to then fit TC-H number 3 at the same time as ICE-K 4 and get all penalties at once, but that would probably mean sometime around Japan-USA, not earlier.

It's somewhat ironic that purely for matters of pride and home GP, they likely won't take an engine penalty in Monza. Whereas if it was any other team, Monza is a good place to take it.

Spa is also good though so it doesn't need to be Monza. With that said, T1 in Spa and Monza can be troublesome...

Monza is actually a horrible place to do it as we have seen in the last years. DRS trains, impossible to overtake. It is also being recognized by the teams as a bad place to do it.

But even assuming they make Sainz give Leclerc the slipstream, another problem arises in that the car without the tow will be out of position, when you ideally want a front row lockout.

No need for a tow at Baku. Or team orders for that matter.

Either this RW made such a big difference or RB changed their setup for FP2. In FP1 Ferrari was losing anywhere from 5 up to 8 tenths in S3 and now they are gaining on RB and being almost slower in S2. Maybe they can fine tune it a bit, because i am afraid it will hurt them come Sunday. The temperatures falling in the afternoon may have also helped for overall lap time.
