We all get a little bit sucked in by the long straight at Baku but Ferrari were super quick here in quali last year despite their lack of top speed and that seemed to be put down to their high mechanical grip?

Conversely, McLaren had excellent straight line performance last year (see Monza) and were pretty average really in the race despite a solid quali from Lando.

Baku is normally crazy so I wouldn't be surprised if the quickest car/driver combo doesn't win this race.

It's usually someone in the right place at the right time.

If I had to bet on someone it would be Verstappen though. Probably would've won last year.

Perez isn't an unexpected winner he could've won Jeddah and Barcelona too.
I was thinking more of the Mercedes or even Alpine. Remember in 2017 Ricciardo won and Stroll got on the podium
