Stiffer? You mean softer I think? Stiffer suspension only would make the porpoising worse...
No it wouldn't because it would require more force to lower the car to the point when the floor is stalling lifting the minimum speed where porpoising presents itself.
I thought stiffer suspension means the porpoising happens from a higher speed (more tolerance) but increases the intensity. If I'm wrong, could you point me to where I can learn some more?
That's generally correct, but if you increase the speed higher than what you can reach in the race you've eliminated it.

Ah yes that's true, fair point. :)

I think that’s a rather ill thought out statement

He looked physically ill at the end of FP2 though.

Dark rings around his eyes and looked physically exhausted.

Haven't seen that from him before, even after tough races.

No wonder. He went to Mercedes to fight for WDC... From high hopes to almost williams-like season (in the meaning of struggling with car)

What exactly is immature about his statement? He's getting beaten up in the car and is suffering. He's not the only one, Sainz and other drivers said the same. I think it's fair to question if F1 has gotten this wrong, and at least raise the quesiton if something can be done about the current situation. That is in addition to Mercedes needing to get their act together.

I think both Russel and Hamilton have been tremendously professional and not throwing the towel in the ring.

Poor George getting upset because their car isn’t good enough? Wonder how many other drivers side with him on the whole regulations being poor.
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

Is any of those other drivers Max or Charles?

And its not just russell and hamilton complaining about that. Magnussen also cited problems: https://www.planetf1.com/news/kevin-mag ... orpoising/

Just allow the teams to develop active suspensions . Porpoising doesn’t only beat the drivers up but it makes the cars look clumsy, slow and not fun to watch.

I couldn’t agree less. An active suspension arms race is the last thing we need. The big teams would be way in the lead. Red Bull has porpoising figured out and everyone else will too. Active suspension will just produce super planted boring cars.
