Charles complained today that the bottoming out is negatively effecting car performance in his opinion.sosic2121 wrote: ↑10 Jun 2022, 21:58Is any of those other drivers Max or Charles?ME4ME wrote: ↑10 Jun 2022, 21:35What exactly is immature about his statement? He's getting beaten up in the car and is suffering. He's not the only one, Sainz and other drivers said the same. I think it's fair to question if F1 has gotten this wrong, and at least raise the quesiton if something can be done about the current situation. That is in addition to Mercedes needing to get their act together.
I think both Russel and Hamilton have been tremendously professional and not throwing the towel in the ring.
I doubt active suspension would be allowed, but if there is enough call for it, a rule change for next year would seem wise. Possibly even a tyre redesignbluechris wrote: ↑10 Jun 2022, 22:25Just raise the car if you get porpoising and stiffen the suspension. They have at least 3 more years to fix their problems.
I don't see one single reason to bring active suspension in the cars.
Also after 2014 with the Mercedes with their rocket engine from start, i didn't see anyone wanting to change the engines. All the other teams just tried to fix their engines and they did it after many years.

Redbull havent figured out squat. They just happen to bounce less than the others but they still have it. ive heard checo and horner complain about it as well. If watching bouncing broncos go around tge track is what you think is exciting then have at it but it is getting annoying for some of us to watch what is supposed to be the pinnacle of motorsport look so embarrassingly unsettled just going in a straight line.AbbaleRacing77 wrote: ↑10 Jun 2022, 22:14I couldn’t agree less. An active suspension arms race is the last thing we need. The big teams would be way in the lead. Red Bull has porpoising figured out and everyone else will too. Active suspension will just produce super planted boring cars.
Really? just search in google horner engine f1 2014.
Wow! that's just a laughable comment
Russell should build better fitness than complain. There are so many other series like rallying where the physical stress is so huge, but drivers just do the job instead of asking to fix the tracks. Most teams have it under control and Mercedes/Ferrari should fix it too. I don't see a need to change the rules to bring any further complexity in suspensions.PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑10 Jun 2022, 22:43I agree with George. The drivers will get life-long injuries if this continues. They can look at testing better suspension for 2023 or change the nature of the floor.
