Rear tyre pressures increased by 1 PSI over night. Do we think that advantages redbull? Ferrari clearly had superior traction in S2, this could hamstring that a bit?

If anything I would guess it hurts teams without porpoising the most. Other teams performance will also be affected, but it may help them a bit with porpoising in return.

Merc just lightly scrubbed a set of new hards in, gone straight back out on fresh softs.

There seems to be confusion between a bumpy track and porpoising. This track is quite bumpy.

Yes and because this year with the tyre change, suspension is working overtime and add to that the stiffening to help with porpoising, we get hopping but from other reasons.

yeah, but they have always been strong in Baku (Top 6 every year, including three podiums), so maybe the track just suits their car designs particularly well.

The Toro Rosso for example also always used to be quick on high speed tracks, even with the power deficits they had back then.

Yeah RedBull body shape could be the reason why it's gotten so slippery. It could also be that they have less bouncing too.

I did read (twitter?) or hear someone mention that Merc. was bouncing into last real corner (16?) so couldn't get through there as good as they wanted, that would automatically decrease their pace over that loooong full throttle S3 (even before bottoming there).
