Oh rubbish! It are the same culprits always that don’t go out on rainy sessions. They did it in Canada too. And had Perez practiced in wet P3 in Canada, maybe he wouldn’t have crashed in wet qualifying.
He seems very humble during this interview.f1jcw wrote:and here is Horner........
What's rubbish about a factual statement? It is a fact that the number of sets they can use is limited, which gives a clear incentive not to blast through them in the first session. If you don't like that, lobby for them to have more sets or so, but don't start calling sane decisions based on limited resources disgraceful or rubbish.McL-H wrote: ↑01 Jul 2022, 15:11Oh rubbish! The teams need to understand fans don’t pay hundreds of pounds to look at empty tracks. It should be about the fans.
I think they do need 2-3 extra sets of intermediate and full wets for practise sessions, it's of little benefit to see cars sitting in the pit garages waiting for the weather to clear up, but it is what it is. Peeps should also remember that a lot of the teams have new packages and updates with few spare parts. They'll not want that binned via a spin in the wet. Hopefully FP2 will be dry. Pretty sure my friends at the track are having a whale of a time, despite the weather and limited running.DChemTech wrote: ↑01 Jul 2022, 15:16What's rubbish about a factual statement? It is rubbish because it not the reason they are staying inside the garage. As I said, they didn’t go out in FP3 in Canada either!!!! We saw half the grid go out so they could have went out too. Give them unlimited sets and they would still not be going out. All too scared to break the car… that’s the real reason.DChemTech wrote: ↑01 Jul 2022, 15:16What's rubbish about a factual statement? .“I think the wording that was used, even though of course with different kinds of cultures and things they said when they were little and younger, was not correct,” Verstappen said.
“Let it be a lesson for the future not to use that word, because it’s very offensive, and especially nowadays, it gains more traction.”
“I think you can see the word in two ways. But I think it’s still better not to use it.”
Verstappen said he had not spoken to Piquet about the matter, saying it was “not up to me” to discuss it with him.
“I’m not going to call him and go hey man, that’s not correct - I think he knows that himself,” Verstappen said.

Could you perhaps explain to me where exactly Max subsequent rejects Piquet's words as "no biggie"?
FP1 and FP3 are quite different in terms of how many sessions still to go eh?McL-H wrote: ↑01 Jul 2022, 15:33It is rubbish because it not the reason they are staying inside the garage. But it's fully clear, you are here solely to hate on one team.
