Red Bull of Max is on rails! Half a second better than anyone else.

Sandbags are coming off. Just giving some teams/commentators hope that Merc are in the mix. RB know what they doing.
It's exactly the same as the Merc was in previous years - the car is working beautifully for Max.
Hamilton didn't run with new set yet. He had used tyres on second stint.
My comment was about how the car looks easy to drive - Max looked like he's out for a Sunday drive to the shops where others are having to work the car. Previous Mercs were like that - unlike this year's car. The Red Bull just looks absolutely perfect in the onboard.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Indeed. MB complex especially looked so easy for Max

If FP3 is anything to go by, I might be the race for 2nd place between Perez, Leclerc and the 2 Mercedes.

Max looking ominous... to say the least

Chance of light showers for Quali I reckon. Might be very light but the band of rain looks to be heading into the track.

Edit, panning back over course of a hour - 2. Might just get away with the heavier stuff. Possibly.

New regulations didn't shuffle the field. TOP 3 teams look untouchable... :(

RB18 is the fastest car in the speed trap (with some 5-7 kph faster than both F1-75 and W13 after Wellington straight) bearing in mind they looked to have chosen again a rain set up as they did in Canada ... or maybe it`s the other way around, with both Merc and Ferrari opting for a rain setup and RB for a dry one, looking at the speed traps they set in Canada and the ones they set here ...

Never mind... after looking at the RB18`s barn door RW and being still the fastest down the straight, we should admit either this car has a mega PU or most probably has the least draggier car on the grid ...

I wonder what speed difference the bouncing is having through the faster corners. Charles losing .44 to Max on the straights alone is monsterous.

Copse flat? Judge for yourself. We have to wait for f1-tempo to come online to do another check, but f1 app says so (not most reliable with high interp).

F1-Tempo has that data up and looks flat.

Reckon might get a few spots. Is looking to die out the closer it gets to the circuit.

some fp2 laps

Merc has definitely made huge improvements, but the RedBull looks so much more stable and easy to drive over one lap.
