No doubt Merc were the ones who tipped the FIA
How much flex do you get around the plank/front bib area? Given all the teams are using quite substantial supports to the outer edges of the floor (redbull with thick aluminium supports) or wire stays (like Mercedes). We've seen all the teams have a spring mechanism (of some description) in the front bib area, so you would have thought there is some movement allowed there. Even Mclaren use a rubber bit to allow some movement,
I had to chuckle.
Max has definitely matured this season.Mandrake wrote: ↑03 Jul 2022, 11:10I had to chuckle.
Leaving aside all the talks about booing etc. I think that Max is really on top of his game this year. He saw the yellows, slowed down which in the end cost him the pole position but is actually not banging on about it. Without the yellow pole would have been his for sure but he just shrugged and said yeah difficult conditions and had to lift cause of yellows.
The race might become an interesting one. Green track again, limited dry free practice running and some cars out of position. Looking forward!
How would they know?
Very scary incident that only a few years ago would have been potentially fatal. The protection around the drivers' heads these days has prevented several serious injuries in various formulae.
A bed of gravel in place of the grass would have slowed that car down significantly, and could even replace the kerb because you wouldn't want to cut the corner and get gravel on your tyres.chrisc90 wrote: ↑03 Jul 2022, 11:25Seriously cant see why they cant just remove all these sausage kerbs, and put a yellow/white line on the outer of the kerb (in replacement of the sausage kerb) and make the rule of no part of the tyre can touch the line. Stick some pressure sensors in it and it will enforce itself and no if's or buts about whether a car touched the line. Much safer, and also enforces the reason for the kerb whilst removing the risk of accident at the same time
If you read the article, it explains that it’s the FIA that told the teams
