Binotto was pointing the finger at him so was obviously a very stern telling off. probably team order related. Sure video will come to light.
Confirmed no penalties.
Sky F1 just posted.
Lewis was swapping fastest laps with Verstappen at one point though while his car was working.Tvetovnato wrote: ↑03 Jul 2022, 18:31With competent race strategists, Sainz would not have won this race. Great for him anyway, but it’s a bit sour when the slowest driver of the top four wins.
A three way fight looks promising, but if Verstappen and Leclerc are without damage, the picture looks quite different.
Yeah I just don't get it. Great racing spoilt when one just crowds the other off.GrizzleBoy wrote: ↑03 Jul 2022, 18:24Stewards decided to not give out any penalties in this race?
There are new rules about crowding off the track this year and people have been gettimg pushed off all over but not even investigations.
Quite so. They noted the incidents and then...ignored them. No investigation, just noted.ambientnoiz wrote: ↑03 Jul 2022, 18:25Why arent they giving perez a penalty? Leaving the track and gaining an advantage doesn’t get any more black and white as that. Even the precedent for “forcing off track” penalty has been set, by perez no less…. Wtf is going on
I don't think they lied to him, just think they were trying to make use of the rules to protect Charles. Knowing he was likely a sitting duck make the most of the within 10 car lengths be at the back of that.west52keep64 wrote: ↑03 Jul 2022, 18:21So Ferrari tried to lie to Carlos and tell him there was some rule where he had to leave 10 car lengths to Leclerc.... that's an insane breakdown of trust between the team and the driver. Unreal.
