Hamilton had a very good shot at the win with the hard tire until Ocon triggered the SC and Sky commentators said SC played to his hands beautifully! Penalties are due i doubt Perez will keep second place.

Charles getting some telling off from Binotto there.

This could end up driver(s) vs team
What happen???
Binotto was pointing the finger at him so was obviously a very stern telling off. probably team order related. Sure video will come to light.

Sainz was pretty slow. Totally outclassed by Verstappen & way slower than Leclerc with a broken wing & he won - It is like last season when Leclerc had a disaster & Sainz kept getting lucky.

I don’t know how long can luck keep out raw pace - Sainz is Gasly Ocon territory while Leclerc is a complete driver with raw pace.

Ferrari just doesn’t want to win the championship it seems with Leclerc & are handing it over to Verstappen.

With competent race strategists, Sainz would not have won this race. Great for him anyway, but it’s a bit sour when the slowest driver of the top four wins.

A three way fight looks promising, but if Verstappen and Leclerc are without damage, the picture looks quite different.
Lewis was swapping fastest laps with Verstappen at one point though while his car was working.

Stewards decided to not give out any penalties in this race?

There are new rules about crowding off the track this year and people have been gettimg pushed off all over but not even investigations.
Yeah I just don't get it. Great racing spoilt when one just crowds the other off.

Also no investigation for Perez, off track to Lec?

Why arent they giving perez a penalty? Leaving the track and gaining an advantage doesn’t get any more black and white as that. Even the precedent for “forcing off track” penalty has been set, by perez no less…. Wtf is going on
Quite so. They noted the incidents and then...ignored them. No investigation, just noted.

Driver of the day was Leclerc. He hounded Sainz with a damaged car and was as fast as Hamilton with tires a few laps old before Ferrari decided to be Ferrari.

He should leave after this year if Hamilton is retiring.

So Ferrari tried to lie to Carlos and tell him there was some rule where he had to leave 10 car lengths to Leclerc.... that's an insane breakdown of trust between the team and the driver. Unreal.
I don't think they lied to him, just think they were trying to make use of the rules to protect Charles. Knowing he was likely a sitting duck make the most of the within 10 car lengths be at the back of that.

But it was a pretty poor call. It would have just put Sainz under pressure.

Was a great race for Lewis did very well.

A race to forget for Max but only drops 6 points to Charles
