.
I did the analysis here last year, and there was no significant understeer either, if at all. They're never gonna let this die. In their minds, Hamilton punted him off and won the race.
.
"they" are never gonna let it go... yet the first one to bring it up was, to my knowledge, a Hamilton supporter, as were most of the subsequent comments. Who is not going to let it go, exactly?
.
Done and dusted?? Not according to Sir Lewis Hamilton.
SILVERSTONE, England -- Lewis Hamilton praised Charles Leclerc after their epic fight for position at the British Grand Prix and said it was a lot more sensible than his battle with Max Verstappen in 2021.

Hamilton and Leclerc fought wheel-to-wheel for third position over three incredible laps at the dramatic conclusion of the race.

At one stage, Leclerc reclaimed position around the outside of Copse, the same point of the track where Hamilton and Verstappen controversially collided last year.

Like that incident, Hamilton had the inside line again but Leclerc passed around the outside without contact, something the seven-time world championship was quick to reference after the race.

"Charles did a great job, what a great battle. He is a very sensible driver,
clearly a lot different to what I experienced last year,"
Hamilton told Sky Sports after the race.
"At Copse for example, the two of us went through there with no problem.
What a battle. Really, really amazing weekend."

Last year, the FIA appeared to lay the blame for the incident with Hamilton, handing him a 10-second penalty during the race.

Perez onboard from the initial race start is interesting viewing.

Seriously surprised nothing come of Charles with a reckless move

Yes so what was the team asking to have one car backing up the rest so their first car would have a major gap ?
Quick question. Does the 10 car lengths only apply while both cars are behind the restart line? If not what is to prevent the driver of the front car hitting the throttle 10 car lengths before the restart line while the car behind slowly goes to the restart line then throttles up there?

Would love to see Charles’ onboard for village.

Sainz is a very lucky man for forcing max off the track aswell. That was wayyy under a car width space

There was a lot of shoving off track yesterday that wasn't penalised or looked at.

It is a bit of a lunge from Leclerc but Perez does leave the door open and then slam it shut in his face so I see it more 50:50 tbh

Catch fencing saved some crowd injuries from flying debris.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Apparently a lot of gravel still made it to the stands. Much better than 900kg of car hitting a grandstand though

Only way to stop the gravel would also block the view so there's always going to be some risk. As you say, better than having a car in their laps.

That could have been a really nasty crash - even though it was pretty bad already.

Wondering whether a 700kg car would have made it that far?

potentially less far, potentially it would have flipped even higher. I think the roll hoops need to be mandated to be stronger and not break. they would dig in the gravel like an anchor.

With the speed that car arrived at (I clearly don't have numbers), I think anything that doesn't dig into the gravel and stop due to having lost most speed already would continue to skip over gravel and end up in the fencing, even if due to a bit less weight the momentum would be less, it might even be that being lighter also would have reduced the losses until that point.

What Sieper said, indeed, including re-evaluating the roll hoops.

Thanks that account has a lot of solid content, and this is a good summary the issue we could see yesterday with that car.
