It seems that both accidents were due to a raised car at the back and that could both prevent bottoming and a prospect of a wet race tomorrow ...

The raised back floor forced the car to stall mid-corner, according to Peter Windsor (and only on a low/qualy setup I dare to add):

Ham went 11kph faster in T6 and tried 20kph faster in T7, he just went too fast. Both drivers talked about having made mistakes in the interviews after quali, Wolff said that they were driving too close to the limit.

Data, drivers and team principal all agree that it was their mistake.
Yep, totally agree. They fought for it, went a bit too far but if that doesn’t happen too often that is fine by me. In a sprintweekend it isn’t the end of the world.
Yeah, I think they have to try and push the limit, nothing wrong with what they did. I'm a bit surprised only that HAM did it on his first attempt, he should have put in a banker and then tried, like RUS did. they could have started 4-5 instead of 4-9.

......... in terms of Perez, it's just silly now that the cheating I quali is now effectively voided.
.
Cheating? What cheating? You mean the stewards blunder that they didn't see it in Q2 and just let it go through to Q3?

Albon was punished for doing what the two Redbull drivers did at Silverstone.
Norris was fully alongside Albon, last week was different.

Sky just showed a replay from last year of max and Charles in exactly the same scenario with no penalty. Granted rules slightly different now

True too. And it was quite a bit of extra speed to carry. I feel, but this is just an opinion, that Rus is really all in and trying to maximize all, whilst Hamilton is a little fighting against the disappointment and is sometimes a bit, uninterested (but that is too heavy a word, I am struggling to describe what I mean). That long stint in Silverstone, where he could smell succes he was excellent.

Sprint... what a worthless event. It should be like 10 laps instead of 23 lol

Something said or done during the drivers meeting.

I guess his environmental friendly stance is not appreciated.

Max should walk this championship unless Ferrari find half a second. The fight at the front (if it exists) is not all that thrilling.

Could be, didn’t see anything televised though.

Going to be a busy evening for the stewards and possibly a few penalties To sort out before tomorrow
