Toto is being taken out of context. I am sure he was reffering to the sprint. And we can all agree the sprint races makes no sense because the front runners predictably stay at the front. He was not speaking of F1 as a whole.
I sonewhat agree, the spring race is only for for 10 laps at most.
If the rationale is that races do not make sense if the front runnners stay at the front, i would advocate for not having main races either, because the same thing happens there.
There are no pitstops in the sprint, so there is a difference.

Why the knee jerk devil's advocate reactions just because Toto said something?
He is actually making sense and I am sure most would agree.
For Sure!!

People think he isn't allowed to say something because Mercedes were dominant for so long, even though he said the same during their domination.

Not only were his quotes twisted somewhat to fit a narrative, what he originally said is true, and everyone jumping around calling him a hypocrite is a bit silly.

If they have to do it, doing it now is as good a time as any. If the car is improving, later in the season the FPs will be hugely important to help potentially secure a win, especially if the leading teams' drivers have to lose some FP time to their own young driver sessions.

Should be interesting to see what AT can do. They're bringing their big upgrade for the season this race

Why defending every single post concerning Mercedes? It really gets old and annoying.

Ignore his posts if he annoys you.

Of course, if everyone ignored the people that defended other teams, the forum would become very insular with 10 team groups each pretending no other teams exist.

With the heat this weekend, and the tire selection, even a two stopper is going to be tricky. Then again the C2 tire held up well in Silverstone, still, I don't see how a one stop is possible.

High temps means engines will be under stress again.. Barcelona had RB struggling to come out the pits with the correct temp fuel, Merc lifting and coasting a lot throughout race, Ferrari engine explosion.. Could be interesting

On the plus side, the summer months have been helpful regarding porpoising. The high track temperatures likely make the bouncing less likely. The one outlier of course being Austria, which is at altitude and the air is naturally less dense there than at sea level.
