I would depend a great amount on how many chances they get to start from the back of the field, and how come they ended up there.
Max has not had many shots at starting from low down while his car is still a winner, Gasly Occon and Riccadio would seem to have won from their 'usual' starting position
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.
Those drivers still needed a car which was faster than average and/or some luck with the VSC, SC or red flags and in some cases the fast cars being out and most of their wins (or most wins in general) came from the first two rows of the grid.
- Alonso won from 15 in Singapore 2008, we all know what happened there, his second best was from P10 in Valencia 2012 (SC + Vettel DNF from the lead) his other wins came from 8, 6, 5, 5
- Hamilton's win from P14 was the 2018 Hockenheim race, the car was obviously great which allowed him to be fifth after a handful of laps and then he did well when the rain set in and Vettel crashed from the lead (arguably would have been caught anyways), other wins were from 10, 6, 6, 5
- Ricciardo won from 10 in Baku 2017, was 17 at some point in the race but SCs, red flag etc helped him and the leaders had issues or were penalized for ramming others on purpose. His other wins came from 6, 6, 5
- Gasly won his only race in Italy 2020 because of an SC and Hamilton going into the pits which were closed .
- Ocon won his only race because Bottas played billiard and Hamilton went to the grid in Hungary 2021
Perez won from P7 (not P6) in Baku 2021, Max had the tyre blowout and Lewis pushed a button by mistake.
My guess is that when Vettel started out of position in his RB or Ferrari days his opponents in equal machinery did not have issues and took the win and the same is true for Max (no one would claim this stat 'exposes' him as he's destined to be counted as one of the greats for sure) ... Leclerc and Sainz arguably only got a winning car this season and Leclerc started from the front row(s) in all races except for Canada and the opposition did not mess up there, same for Sainz except for two races which ended prematurely.
So yea ... the stats might be correct (mostly) but the conclusion most definitely is not - if there were any conclusions to draw from this then one would be that Ocon and Gasly did well to win in lesser machinery, for example.
Mansell from 12th(?) to win

apart from that so interesting to watch pit crews in shorts , 8 second tyre changes, clowns running across the pitlane in front of exiting cars, different pit lane speeds, flaggies on track!

Max won from deeper down (in praxis) after his start in Austria in 2019.
He started third on the grid and dropped to 8th because of a starting issue. But it's the grid position that is being discussed here and winning from P3 on the grid isn't that unusual.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.
From this year onwards, compared to recent years, starting from deeper down is harder as everyone starts on new tires. It used to be the entire top 10 started on used softs. Or mediums.
