If they penalise Perez, that will encourage massive dive-bombs. Only reason Perez will be penalised is if he didn't go through the bollards but even that it would have been unfair for him to do so. Stewards should do nothing at all.

Even when Sainz was telling the team to pit, I was disagreeing with it... made absolutely no sense with just over 10 laps to go.

Is his Ferrari caving into what Sainz was telling them now?

He would probably end behind Russell anyway

With pitstop he will end again possibly behind Russell but will have extra point taken from Verstappen.

Charles saying it was a mistake. So looks like he is taking the blame for that one I think.

I can't even imagine what he was mumbling about on the radio, he had absolutely no business being there and then left no room, basically created collision situation, should have received something like a warning, not a penalty, but warning from stewards, that was unacceptable move, especially coupled with moaning on the radio, he seems to think he had legit claim to that corner

I think it's PR, calmed down and said the sensible thing, there would no point starting pointing fingers if there was a problem with the throttle again

That is all well in good, but to take away from a potential podium?!

Sainz getting a bit upset about it, but at the same time... a few laps prior to pitting he was asking for the pit so cannot just blame the strategy team for it.

In reality, RUS should be penalized for causing contact and forcing a competitor off track. RUS went all the way out to the white line and left no where for PER to stay on track.
