Sebastian Vettel - interview

Post

Hi everyone,

I will sit down with Sebastian Vettel at this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix to talk about the future of motorsport and the role of motorsport in terms of promoting diversity and sustainability. If you have any questions regarding these topics, feel free to share it with us, and I will discuss them with Seb. An article is set to be released in August during the summer break.

Not that he would be driving in 2030 in any case, but if he were younger...
Would he still be driving in F1 in 2030 if F1 continued to run on fuel?
Would he still be driving in F1 in 2030 if F1 continued to run on fossil fuel?
If yes, why, where would his pain point be.
If not, what would it take (in his 2022 opinion) to have him continue; what would he be ready to sacrifice of F1, while it still continuing to be F1, to make F1 actually sustainable.

Being a bit brutal and geeky... does he actually know how a life time analysis works? Is he promoting or explaining any? (too geeky, I know).

The tropics are the parts of the globe most sensitive to climate change. Has he been to the tropics?

1. Is your environmental and social justice push to atone for being nasty to Mark Webber when you were teammates, note the ironic 'mates' (reference the book True Grit; Webber, M) ?
2. Are you a carnivore ?
3. Is the position of drivers in the F1 heirarchy correct ?

First off please thank him for leading by example, such as the new fuel technologies.

My question: The continuous development race is part of the draw of Formula 1, but also extremely wasteful. How would you see a sustainable version of this?

Bonus points for asking him if he'll consider moving from 'inspector Seb' to 'director Seb' to fill the void left by Ross Brawn? They could use some more modern thinking there.

Is he going into politics? or considering becoming a team member (non driving)

I do like to know with his environmental activism (which I applaud!) he is or considered to become vegan.

Does he consider himself a "woke"?

Woke, in this sense, is an adjective not a noun. I bet Seb knows that too. 8)

Great point.
Let me try to rephrase in order to be on topic with the interview.
Does he is trying to implement the woke capitalism culture in F1 marketing and that he really think this is a game changer to help inequality and environment issues?

I'd look at Disney for a case study in what happens to "woke" companies...πŸ™„

I wonder where his climate change line gets drawn on this...

"Starling's Environmental Impact Report Finds Carbon Produces 16x More CO2 Than Steel - Pinkbike" https://m.pinkbike.com/news/starling-en ... steel.html

Maybe F1 should go back to steel tubs to lower its footprint?
