I can't believe this guy keeps getting publicity with his free-of-substance ramblings?

This gets me excited to have a team in the US, makes me want to complete my degree faster and faster, hopefully they are looking for young engineers by the time I'm out.

Can't I just dream a bit, before I hit reality again? :D

By all means, Hauser.
An American F1-team would be teriffic, no less, but it has to come from someone a tad more serious than those two.

Penske or AGR interested in F1 next year? There has been alot of talk here in the states about Bernie's comment concerning two US based teams in the works. If all of the big teams leave surely Wee Bernie and Mad Max will be looking for every team they can get to field a full field next year. Thats the only way I can see either team getting a crack at it over say a Lola or Aston/Prodrive. Danica may find a ride after all, god help us all...................

If this is going to be the case for next year where will all of the engines come from? Is the two teams per engine maker relavent in the new 2010 rules when it comes to the spec Cosworth engine?

MrE's comments to this and that means zip at the moment, I think they've pushed the big dogs a little too far this time, why he's trying to talk up the interest in F1 for 2010, that's all.

I doubt if there is an existing "American" racing organization even remotely close to handle an F1 team, while building one up is not done in six months.

Agreed, after reading this article, my impression is that all that talk has absolutely nothing concrete to back it up. All he says is "we're going to do this, we're going to do that". I'll believe it when I see something a little more substantial than just ramblings and hollow promises.

I think it's worse than that DK, true to US-business traditions they have also been economical with the truth.

At the beginning, Anderson was introduced as "owner", or at least "builder" or "designer", of that Charlotte wind-tunnel. Until a statement from the real owner made it clear that Anderson had merely been involved with one of their consultants for a while.

So far, just smoke and mirrors.

I will start an All-Argentinian F1 team, starting right... [waits 3 seconds]... NOW!

I will build a car at home that will compete in F1 with Argentine drivers, maybe me included. No wind tunels, just the chasis positioned in front of my *ss, some farts will get the job done. CDF? Thats for the ones how cant build good engines! Many Argentine sponsors will be exited to get involved in the team, thats for sure!

See you in Australia 2010!

Lord windsor says:
"But from our point of view it doesn't change much. We are who we are, we're doing what we're doing and we've been planning this for three or four years to the budget at which we're currently operating. We haven't changed our budget and it perfectly dovetails with a lot of the numbers that are currently being mentioned. We've got our heads down, we've just finished the CAD drawings of the car and it's all very exciting."

Can you belive this guy, they have CAD?
Well so do we at F1Technical, Legendary M has the car practically ready for manufacturing, Solid Edge v18 no less, right?

With the news that "USF1 hires NASCAR star designer" I really had a good Laugh..

"The biggest name is that of Dr Eric Warren, a star name from the NASCAR world"

This is a joke, and if this is the talent their using, then USGPE is doomed.

Mr Warren for all his claims, is a someone who couldn't design his way out of a paper bag. He was fired by Penskes, fired by Everhams for basically making up aero data, and financial misappropriation, and Waltrips for not living up to his promises. The teams in NASCAR will be rejoicing that he has left their ranks, and will now apply his backward talents to F!......
