Because you're Brit. Crofty today literally said they're biased when there were 3 Brit's in the top 5.ringo wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 17:44Why the saltiness against the Brits?
I did not sense any kind of bias. Lewis and George were the dark horses for the race, and were the only two of the top 6 cars that were doing stuff to spoil the party at the front.
The commentators have a duty to hype the race down to the last lap.
And no redbull is not shutting them up with results. Redbull is a British team. In fact redbull are expected to defend their championship this year.
I really don't see the need for the anti UK sentiment for such a good race today.
It was reasonably easy to overtake. This year you can actually stay close to the car ahead in the last corner, which made the run to turn one with DRS a formality overtake. There were many overtakes all over the field. You have to read the race better than that if you are a strategist. Leclerc on softs would have made easy work of these guys. He even said he could have gone longer no problem and felt he had things under control in his interview.search wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 17:51maybe, yes, but it would likely have meant dropping to 3rd or 4th first, then having to overtake them again on new tyres. I can understand why they didn't want to risk that on a track like Hungary.Hammerfist wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 17:44Leclerc should not have pitted at the time he did for hards. Everyone knew the hards would be awful. He could have mirrored Hamilton's strategy and he would have won imo.
Leclerc would've lost track position to Verstappen, i'm not even sure he would lose to Russell, in the opening stint he kept up quite well with used mediums...Hammerfist wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 17:44Leclerc should not have pitted at the time he did for hards. Le'ts not talk about Sainz, as he was once again nowhere close to Leclerc's pace during the race. Just another open goal miss by Ferrari. It has been an embarrassing season for them on so many levels.
It's a British company staffed by Brits broadcast to brits, maybe they should include more Chinese coverage?renault rs26 wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 18:02Because you're Brit. But it is broadcast in English. There may be other options, or maybe there is not enough interest, I don't know I never look.NicoS wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 18:11Diversity is considered very important by "brits" atm. so maybe a great idea!Big Tea wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 18:10It's a British company staffed by Brits broadcast to brits, maybe they should include more Chinese coverage?renault rs26 wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 18:02

Its also broadcast in a few other countries worldwide.
I have no problem with that, really. But, what I do have a problem is every weekend there are snide remarks, sometimes just an eyebrow raised by sometimes also a gut punch. There is no need for that. In fact, it zaps the fun out of it for me. You also see this back in the fanbase.Big Tea wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 18:10It's a British company staffed by Brits broadcast to brits, maybe they should include more Chinese coverage?renault rs26 wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 18:02Because you're Brit. What language would you prefer it in? You chose to post in English here?
English of course. But we are tied with Sky F1, we literally have no other option - legally.Big Tea wrote: ↑31 Jul 2022, 18:18What language would you prefer it in? You chose to post in English here?
