What do the long runs look like?
According to SKY Germany "long runs" over 4-6 laps on softs: Ves .8 quicker than Ham with unhuman consitency esp. in middle sector.

Ferrari were sitting in the pits while Merc and RBR did those long runs.

I couldn't see anything about if they introduced new ers system or not ? Do anyone have info about it ?
Since Max is the only RBPT runner to have put in new PU components this weekend I'm getting the feeling these are all current spec. He has taken them before the Sep 1st hom deadline so he can and there has been no official confirmation on it being the new spec ERS. Max being championship leader he is unlikely to be the RBPT guinea pig for this. Only 1 RBPT car has to take the new spec ERS in US at the latest. Max doesn't even have to run the new ERS this year.

You can take multiple components in one weekend and use all going forward as long as only one of each type of component is in excess of allowance. Eg you can take ES 2&3 in one weekend, but not ES 3&4

Max is already going to the back, might as well take as many components as possible.

Gotcha. I suppose that’s the safest thing to do. That being said the 2nd set of components easily would’ve lasted to the end given the longevity of the 1st set.

Well it is Max's favourite track and he nailed it. Also, 340kph on the first straight is mighty

Yep, he is always fast here. These cars with their ground effect do go round the track quite differently, but that doesn’t seem to bother him.

As has been noted, he must have noted and worked incredibly hard on creating a different driving style that maximises the ability of the Venturi tunnels to create the downforce without upsets. He’s become super smooth and extremely controlled, keeping the platform as stable as possible.
It’s a joy to behold. I think the only one I see with a very similar style at the moment is NOR. Maybe it’s their sim racing background that has made them more able to adjust on the fly? I’m no expert

Nor is a top driver for sure too. Maybe you are right about their simming experiences helping to adjust.
