Max winning from P13 (Yes not P14 because Gasley started from the pitlane) in a dominant car and a lapdog team mate. Nothing special here.

Max is going to shatter the 13 win season record this year. F1 is boring when you know who is going to win every race

They? You mean Verstappen. Perez making silly mistakes, still behind Sainz in P3.
It's not silly mistakes.. Perez is just nowhere near the pace
Terrible start, pushing Leclerc etc. His pace is always terrible compared to Verstappen. But I'm of the opinion that's more because of Verstappens excellence and not because Perez sucks.
I totally agree with that. Where the good drivers and great drivers differentiate is at start of races imho. Colder tyres/heavy on fuel. Being able to find the limit and dance on/around it. Reminds me of ALO. who has ALWAYS been a king at Grand Prix starts. Instincts

Good to see Ferrari trusting driver decisions more
Well, if you mean that basically the driver has to made up the strategy beside driving, then yes. I personally think that's not the way it should be. Looks for me more like a headless chicken is once more making up the Ferrari strategy.

Exactly. Verstappen has really grown in that aspect. Alonso is also stellar in that aspect indeed, always has been.

A great win for Verstappen here. The 2nd fastest driver in the field is a full second off Verstappen's. This is just insane pace, it's like peak Hamilton all over again. Damn.

Max is setting the track alight. He is the fastest F1 driver we have witnessed. How come he is so much faster than anyone else, even the sister RBR?
Wow, you must not have seen many F1 drivers then.
Max is no doubt fast. And again, I think Perez is like midway in between, so it's not surprising Max is gapping him.

The question is, how was Perez able to match him up until the mid point of the season. He maybe adapted faster than Max did. And then the upgrades worked more in Max's favor, which is understandable from the team's point of view.

How exactly did he benefit from the lapdog teammate here?
And as for dominant car, perhaps, for the first time this season.

Max is a generational talent, Perez is a journeyman.

The RB18 is being developed towards Max though, and why wouldn’t you?

He didn't. Het got close in qualifying a few times, that's it. Perez hasn't been a match during the race, not even once.

I guess they focused on developing front end, bringing Max' driving style more and more to the, eh, front.

I heard a few journos (Hughes was one of them) mention they’ve become slightly heavier returning the balance to something VER prefers. At the season start it was a new platform and PER was more comfortable.
