The super license is earned and owned by the driver prior to entering F1; the team has nothing to do with it.
But what is entering F1? Having a contract with a team...?
My understanding is that the Super License belongs to the Driver, then the CRB assigns that super license to a Team based on a contract, the driver can’t use their license to race for a different team while the contract is valid.

People make it up more than it is… Can a driver use the Super License to race for more than one team under a contract? No… Does the license belong to the “Team” the contract is valid with, No…

An interesting scenario happens with reserve drivers, they need to have a valid super license, but can race for several teams (given that their reserve driver contract isn’t exclusive to one team).
Sounds about right. The Super License is in essence a license provided by the FIA that is a notional extension or representation of a contract and it's stipulations, which is why I make the point about what is "Entering F1", because it isn't having a seat, it's having a contract with a team that refers to where they can or can't drive and the Superlicense will be applicable there only.

There was no contract at all with Alpine.

Interestingly it details that Piastris contract runs until the 31st of Dec, so his first taste may be in pre season testing.

Alpine really did screw this up.

Yep, I think could of been way closer to the top but Lando got held up in last banked section by a Ferrari cost him a lot of time. Looks good so far!

It's very early doors and Ferrari and Red Bull will end up faster than us, but it is a nice start to the weekend to see a gap to .9s Alpine, obviously it is too early for it to be close to meaningful.

CRB ruling.
Translation: Alpine have royally messed up with 2 out of 3 of their drivers this year. It will be interesting to see how Piastri stacks up in an F1 car. I wonder how much prep McLaren can give him now

Excellent from the team. Got an up and coming superstar potentially without paying for his development

😂 😂 😂 😂

The contract was signed on the 4th of July!!

Otmar is going to have to answer a lot of embarrassing questions now.

Seidl seems well pleased to have Piastri on the team (at least for now, early days). :D

Well… We will know when he races next season and even then, Oscar will have a lot of credit with the Team if not for the whole first season, at least for the first half to get acclimated

On the other hand, Seidl and Zak have to be pleased… Their move worked… The plan to replace Daniel was executed as intended

Let’s wait and see. Could be he finds a better team in coming months and leaves us too.

Very cynical. From what I have read, I can’t really blame Oscar for getting on with his career. Seems Alpine really did play hardball with ALO and did little for Oscar in the process. He wants to get on with his career and have some certainty. Can’t blame him for that. Your chance to drive an F1 car can disappear in an instant but getting a seat in the first place is incredibly hard. When it arrives then you take it
