Once again the sensationalist headline of an article doesn't quite match the context from said article. Not even worth diving into, and yet inevitably we will now see 2+ pages of back and forth jargon.Zynerji wrote: ↑02 Sep 2022, 13:52https://www.crash.net/f1/news/1011142/1 ... d-same-car
Did Hamilton, of all people, really say this!?!
I guess he hasn't been on a 7yr Magic Carpet Ride in the best car in the field...![]()
He's saying exactly what lots of people say every year and have done for decades.Zynerji wrote: ↑02 Sep 2022, 13:52https://www.crash.net/f1/news/1011142/1 ... d-same-car

Or it can be taken out of context to make a click bait headline.“I mean the car does limit us,” he said. “I think for anyone that’s further back in the order they are limited by the machinery they have. If we all had the same car, no matter which one it was, you would see a better reflection of each driver, but that’s obviously not the case.
I second this.johnny comelately wrote: ↑02 Sep 2022, 15:11Good to hear Jensen Button at Zandvoort, valuable commentator.
you definitely fell into the clickbait trap..... if you read the entire quote he goes on to say it will show a more accurate reflection of each driver. At no point did he claim he would be guaranteed WDC #1 super duper god like as you are trying to claim.Zynerji wrote: ↑02 Sep 2022, 13:52https://www.crash.net/f1/news/1011142/1 ... d-same-car

Max did go out right away on the softs and put that time down, I don't think he's been out on track since.
he did a 2nd run on new softs as well, as far as I could see (tyre data on the timing doesn't work, unfortunately)
