Perez taking one for the team?
Genuine mistake it seemed. Similar To vettel
Curious though, his timing is impeccable, crash while everyone else is about to run hot laps. Someone needs to investigate.
Don’t be silly.

Only other time I can think/remember this season is Monaco, and it stopped his team mate getting pole/improving.

Bit desperate

Really?? 😂 most hot laps were already run bar the mercs who were behind checo. Sure, he ruins his own weekend that way “for the team”. I honestly haven’t read such claptrap for quite some time

Perez is the new Nelson Piquet Jr., maybe it was an honest mistake, who knows, would of liked to see more times, slow or fast.

Max was much flaster than Leclerc on used tores, can that indicate Ferrari will wear tires faster in the race?

I'm on holiday atm and saw on twitter the results. How far back was the Mercs and were they on track to to being closer to pole before Perez yellow flag?

So split strategy for Ferrari tomorrow? One go long, the other agressive?

Close quali, congratulations to Max, could've been neater by Charles, bit of a shame for Mercs they could've been higher - maybe not pole but surely a few position higher. Closest they've been yet - good to see that they can pile on downforce when they have to. They might make the race interesting indeed. :D

Why Russell slowed down right before start/finish line, and not before last turn? There were yellow flags :-k
It looks weird. There was a yellow flag on TV coverage, but LED panel in last turn wasn't flashing (?). Russell drove past Perez with his pedal in floor, he slowed down 80-100 meters before finish line

The Ferrari are much closer to Max. Mercs were 100-200ms off

I think Russell could of beat Sainz with his fresh tires, looks like the battle of the rest tomorrow. Leclerc for the win.

Russell was 0.25s behind Sainz after S2, so would have been 5th at best, I think
