This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
Good for Albon to have a seat in F1, he already has showed good stuff this year. Hopefully the car and the pace will next year be much better so they'll fight for points on a regular basis.
With Piastri probably not at Williams next year (that would be an option when he was still under the Renault/Alpine wings), would this increase the chances for DeVries? Or are they for next year sticking to LAT because of his money?
Williams is going to end up like Alfa last year; they've already got their lead driver locked in, so are going to have time to look for the second seat, even if the options remaining aren't necessarily the greatest. I don't think Latifi will return; he's provided a nice cash boost but little else. Plus, he is pretty much the only remaining element from the previous ownership/management; it would make sense that he would be phased out anyways.
It makes sense for Williams to promote Sargeant if he gives a good account of himself in FP1 and finishes F2 well. Ideally he should probably stay in F2 for another year, but there's always the risk of a Schwarzman repeat, where the first year looks much more impressive and then your career fizzles out. The announcement will probably wait until he has the 40 superlicense points (must be top 5 in F2 this year I think) before confirmation, in case things go sour. So it might not be until the end of the season.
The team isn't on financial life support anymore, it would be good for them to promote their own driver to their own team rather than de Vries IMO, unless Toto cuts a sweet engine deal, which I don't see happening.
Capito/Dorilton seem to be focusing on stability before making any huge investments or risks, which is fair. Team morale seems to be good, and even though they haven't scored any points since the Silverstone update, I do think it has put them a lot closer to the rest of the field. Hopefully that bodes well for the FW45.

Based on Spa, the team should fare well at Monza. Fastest in S1 and third behind only RB and Ferrari in Belgium. The car was actually decent under braking/through the bus stop too, so there could be potential for a finish of P8 or better. Even Latifi could have gotten points last year, George jumped him at SC but he was actually P10.

I’m looking forward to seeing the Williams run at Monza. Think they can have some good moments especially in quali.
I wonder if the other Merc PU teams have taken note of the low drag Williams, who haven’t suffered as badly as some of the other Merc PU stable.
Alex and Daniel at Williams? Throw in a deal for Williams like Alpha Tauri has with RBR for suspension/power unit, and Williams could be SERIOUS contenders in 24/25!
