Translation: According to the race director's notes for Monza, the track limits are marked by the white line.

This shot is from Turn 7 on Charles Leclerc's only Q1 attempt. If this is considered outside the white line, Leclerc should not have gone through to Q2.

Do you see it inside?

Imagine if his lap time gets deleted..

Maybe. Maybe not. The FER boys look amazingly confident wrt the race too. Maybe their deg wasn’t too bad. Clean track ahead will help controlling the deg too. Here is hoping for a really close fight! Shame SAI starts from the back. He was grooving today
As much confidence as they may have, it will not weigh up for Ferrari’s ability to self destruct in the race in one way or another. But let’s hope it will be a close battle.
Isn't it Charles' turn to bin it in the Ferrari cock-up merry-go-round?🤔
Highly likely, let’s check their schedule to be sure, they must have one by now..

Jokes aside, I will set my expectations super low on them so I can only be positively surprised tomorrow. Will be interesting to see what happens to the cars further back than they should start. One should not underestimate a potential DRS train, the likes of Sainz, Perez and Hamilton will have a hard time coming through I believe.

Where is the track limit? Others got their laps removed for similar breaches. Perez at Austria has also set precedent for this situation

You conflate being fast in qualifying with being fast in the race. You cannot deny that the RedBull is the fastest car in the races. Heck their average 2nd driver is 2nd in the championship and he is barely even with 15 seconds of his teammate at the end of races.
I’m not saying anything about Ferrari being fast tomorrow. All I said is I don’t think red bull is dominant this week. Could definitely still be the faster race car on Sunday and likely to be, but we have to see the race pan out to declare that. Red bull for sure have the overall faster car lately.

Interesting race for sure tomorrow.
How the F are we still saying RBR is dominant when there were again two ferraris in the qualy top 3. Stop this crap. Congrats to Lec for getting the pole. Race is on!
Haha it's hilarious ain't it.

I'm stoked for tomorrow! If the Ferrari pitwall take a day of and leave it to a good crew I'm sure it will be exciting! We've seen Leclerc fight tooth and nail before here so let's hope for something similar (but fair)!

Interesting as according to FIA, Charles only set 2 lap times.

1
2 1:21.280
3 1:54.491

Both Ferrari's at the back of the grid would certainly upset the Tifosi. But if that was Charles 1:21 lap, it should only be fair his time is deleted.

I really really hope not. And I’m not even tifosi. I just want good hard racing and that might just destroy the prospect of a titanic battle.
However if that is his fastest lap in P1 then it’s pretty slam dunk. So many others got theirs deleted for track limits. Darn it. Fingers crossed

Yeah, it would be sad to see for sure. But if its as slam dunk clear as that on his faster lap, then its out in Q1 unfortunately. Hopefully the rules will be applied properly like they were for Perez in Austria.

If Charles went outside the white lines on his fast lap, but no one saw it at the time, how can they penalise him after qualy ended? It is unfair to get away with an infringement but it is also unfair to get penalised after the session ends because you have no way of recovering.

Similar happened to Perez this year.

Perez would not have had time to make another lap if they saw it when they should have, where as Leclerc would have ample time to react. They have all the technology and personnel to police these things in a timely manner but yet they fail miserably and then punish the drivers.

Rules are rules, but very hard to police every car at every corner. If its clear cut, its only right Charles gets the penalty.

I thought all this was supposed to have been fixed after firing Masi.

There are several turns where the curb has a white line both on its inside edge and its outside edge. Visible in the onboards. So, which line do they count as the track limit?

Charles should get the equivalent penalty to Checo. Im unsure what that was, but it should be the same.
