This has to be the nail in the coffin for Binotto. Another brainless strategy.
Don't see what is wrong with this strategy so far... I think it was worth taking the risk, rather than giving Track Position to Max if he pitted first; That Red Bull would be nearly impossible to overtake from behind, so might as well try and stay ahead.

Sainz tyres 1 sec slower than Charles on lap 21.

Charles will struggle around lap 37-40
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

It’s a crazy long stint on mediums. Either he will have to stop again or limp home. They are decimating his chances of winning this race.

Yep, starting to see the Ferrari magic again with Sainz... cannot see the logic leaving him out this long. Surely they should just switch to Hards and go to the end with him? They risk loosing ground to the cars behind them now...

Ferrari's pace is solid on Mediums, but surely they'll need a Safety car to have any chance of winning this. Max's pace on the Softs is still incredibly strong.

Did I miss something? A few laps ago, Sainz wanted to get off the Mediums... now he is asking to extend to go on to Softs?

if LEC and VER stops at the same time and LEC put on soft tyre, there might be a chance of winning.

Softs wouldn't last 27 laps... on the Ferrari it would seem. On the Red Bull in Verstappen's hands? Well, he's just done it...

Yeah he kept those softs alive for a long, long time. It seems their downforce-for-tires pays off.

...looking at the Ferrari pit crew, I can see where Renault sold off all of their old, excess uniforms.

Wondering why he pitted so early.
