Just eroded whatever interest I had left in this sport. At least I can use that $5 from F1TV on something else now.

Wouldn't it be wise to just routinely red flag the races when there is a SC 5 laps from the end?

This used to be very normal? I have seen numerous F1 races end behind the SC.
Yep, nothing wrong with it, but it seems to bring up some trauma due to that one outlier last year.

P7->P1 another great race by max. Their lack of degradation won them the race

Nyck de Vries drove great. The deserved driver of the day. He should be Williams first choice for next year.

A red flag would have at least given a racing finish. There was ample time.

That's not the point, they are just so conservative and timid in race direction. The car and track was clear. They don't allow lapped cars thru even tho there were just 3 of them. Allow them thru on the damn straight. Geez is it that hard?. so much procedure for absolutely nothing.

So can verstappen survive SC restart, he's slow AF on straights. Unless he makes it perfect he's easy meat.
We'll never know now as they decided to keep the SC out even after the incident was cleared. Lucky old Max.

Not sure why everyone is complaining of the safety car.

No need for a red flag to finish the race.

Congrats to Bert Mylander for his first victory of 2022!🙄

Like Abu Dhabi 2021, any Safety Car call within 4 laps of the end should default to a Red Flag, and standing restart.
It has to be in the "law" of the sport. At the moment it's just lottery, and it makes it very different for each case which raise conspiracy theory

Max is showing prodigious talent. He does not even have the fastest car and yet devastates all opposition. Simply unstoppable.
