2022 regulations?

Let's be honest, they are a complete failure if the goal was to bring the racing closer and make F1 more fun to watch.

In 2021 we had a season that literally went to the last race. This year we have a big spread between the cars and one manufacturer incredibly dominant to the point where the season was essentially over at the halfway point. I don't care who you support, a 116-point lead with 6 races to go is boring to watch.

All this money the teams have spent on 2022 and for nothing. They should have just left the rules as they were and played around with the tyres to make things more fun. Softer compounds to make every race a guaranteed 2 stop at minimum for example.
Completely agree.

P.S Aesthetically as well they have failed to produce sexy looking cars (personal opinion)
F1 cars haven’t looked ‘good’ since the mid-nineties - imo; up until then they always looked good.

What about this? Image I think these were the last ''sexy'' cars on the grid, but again taste is very personal and very different for all of us.

I´m a bit in a shock after reading people saying overtaking has not improved with the new regs... obviously it has not solved the problem at 100%, but it´s been an obvious step forward. As some mentioned before, Hungaroring has been a perfect example, past season not even a car 2,5 seconds faster was able to overtake, this season a half of that was more than enough.

New regs can´t solve the problem of some cars being faster than some other tough, that´s racing!. But cars following each other closer is better for overtaking, period, it´s shocking reading otherwise in this forum

I really dislike those cars, too much ‘stuff’, but as you say; taste is very personal.

If we´re discussing aesthetics now, I must say I love 22 cars, apart from the rims wich are awful, and size as they´re too big, they look great to me

The perfect combination would be current cars with 2008 dimensions.

The perfect F1 car in terms of size and aesthetics (note the properly sized wheels and tyres, too):

No idea how one would make the current regs fit it, however. Would likely look horrible. :(

Agreed. The wide cars up to 1992 just look right when watching historic races.

The narrower cars with narrow rear tyres in the mid 90's look strange, and when they went really narrow in '98 that made it even worse.

The combination of narrow front tyres, wide rear tyres and a <<wide>> car just looks right IMO!
