The old F175 would've been very strong here..

The usual:
Lec on pole. Max 2nd, come race day, Max passes Lec with tyre strategy and sails into the distance.
My top 10 prediction for the race:
1. Max
2. Lec
3. Sai
4. Per
5. Rus
6. Ham
7. Nor
8. Alo
9. Ric
10. Oco

I don't believe Merc will fair well, they will suffer due to bumpiness of the track. They'll be lucky to get 5th and 6th if no crashes happen at the front.

Hamilton will out qualify Checo and beat Sainz off the line but considering his luck with safety cars and strategy this season, it might not mean much.

if the bumps aren't super bad, it may still be, I think. Before the summer break, they'd have been in another league on this track.

Mercedes should be in the game or slightly behind. Vertical oscillations on this track should be more suspension-related than aero-related

Bring the SF75 that raced in Monaco and game over. :)

It was the bumps in Baku that started the merc bouncing, as witnessed round the chicane before the pit straight.

Hoping Ferrari makes an appearance for the win this weekend, BUT that spot is reserved for Max and Red Bull now between now and season's end. That being said, this is the first place that resembles anything like Budapest for Low-Medium speed corners so we might get an idea as to how much the TD really did effect them. On the other hand, expect the bumps to be a factor here so might just even itself out..

Russell said he reckons Mercedes will be off the pace a bit this weekend, but I reckon they're in for a shot of an upset... could end up being both cars on the podium, just cannot see anybody topping Max moving forward, barring an incident or reliability.

Usually a two hours marathon this, a true test of reliability. Even with a pace deficit, I’d still expect a Merc on the podium.

I would pleasantly surprised if Ferrari is competitive in Singapore...

Mike Elliott sounded confident that the nature of the track would suit Mercedes. I'd think so too, especially in the race

there has been some resurfacing, by the way, but mainly in slow parts of the track, by the look of it. So I doubt it'll change much about the problem with the bumps

"The FIA has also confirmed that several areas of the track have been resurfaced. This includes Turn 1 and Turn 2, a 100-metre section after Turn 5, and areas between Turns 12 and 13, and around Turns 15,16 and 17."
