The fact that Horner is going on the aggressive threatening legal action makes me think there is no actual overspending on their behalf, but then it would also be weird for both Mercedes and Ferrari to come out with heavy accusations without something to back it up rather than just based on what they have spent
Like the heavy accusations we had from Toto and Mercedes that Red Bulls floor was illegal? We were told from them for weeks Red Bull were cheating and once the TD is enforced it would move Red Bull back.

Ended up being total BS. Toto is a talker and a bluffer.
I really hope this particular issue blows up in Toto's face. The way he has been talking, it should be humiliating if it comes out that Red Bull are in the clear. Arguably the most embarrassing moment of his career, and that is without whatever legal action Red Bull take

We have different companies [that come under Red Bull] and not all of them work for Formula 1. Some people have been transferred to another branch and you can't carry those costs, from our point of view in any case not." Those are interesting words, which fit with what Horner said on Friday about different interpretations of the rules. Marko alludes that Red Bull does not associate certain costs with F1 and has therefore not given up, while the FIA looks at it differently. It also fits with the 'clarifications' that have come, according to Horner.
Interesting, what if the team sold off or dissolved one of the companies that was working on their team. What happens with those costs? Not saying it is the case, but wonder what would happen.
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

The costs aren’t just going to disappear because a company is dissolved

Before that, Marko finds it more annoying that rivals can receive apparently leaked information about Red Bull's accounting. "This goes way beyond the usual political nagging in Formula 1. I have the question again: how do they get such information? I find that much more worrying."
Did Marko ask himself this question too when they had found out details of the Ferrari PU in 2019 and accused Ferrari of having cheated?

The funny thing is that Horner and Marko act appalled at the thought that their competitors might have such information but then have details about another competitor - quote Christian Horner:
we know one team has for example had a change of its accounting process of how it deals with heritage parts
They all know to some degree what is going on where and the arguments by Red Bull all point towards a disagreement (them saying they're below, the FIA believing they're over) - now it's of course possible the other teams decided to make a stink before the results are public to apply some pressure on the FIA to actually do something about any potential rule breaches - or if they actually know that something untowards is going on (or disagree with RB's interpretation of the regs) want to bring into question any lenient (non-) penalties which might about to be given.

RedBull should be disqualified from 2021 and 2022 driver and constructors championships for running illegal cars.
What evidence do you have that RB ran an illegal car?
Cars developed over budget makes them illegal!!

And evidence. Don't you worry. Evidence is coming.

Did they stop Max because of they were suspicious of a possible DSQ? To me it looked like team didn't expect Max to abort his penultimate lap before starting to the Q3, but Max did it for having a drier track. Probably wanting to save the fuel?

Probably a higher penalty than Redbull will get for going over budget.

Back on topic… if they have indeed gone over budget then DSQ from the last race of 2021 would be ultra karma.

They are not going to change past years results, no matter what. Wouldn't it be a coincidence though if they took points from this year so they were level with Ferrari
