And even the restart is suspended.

Absolutely shocking

WTF is Jolyon going on about safety vehicle on the track being unacceptable? It's a red flag...
Race is going to restart.
Supposably Gasly saw one on track while he was circulating around. Sam made up some dumb stuff about how the Japanese do things, as if he is an expert on racing operations there (he’s not), which just got Jolyon fired up more.
Sam's an idiot. He is constantly corrected for saying dumb stuff. I'd rather hear Scarbs in that booth.
Sam tries to say stuff in the most expert way he can, about things he knows nothing about. There is a bunch of stuff Scarbs doesn’t know, but he knows when to say he doesn’t know.

Ffs this is actually embarrassing. I wish it wasn't a 10-minute warning. 5 minutes should be sufficient

Looking at the radar on the TV feed, I wouldn't be surprised if this race doesn't go any further.

Apparently there is a gap after the band of heavier rain

I think they red flagged the race to clean the mess part of which Gasly had collected.
I stand corrected, no, they didn't.

these are likely to be the best conditions they'll get at least.

Zehnder just mentioned that the (3h) clock has started, btw. So there are only 2 hours left to finish this now

8 years after the accident. Nothing learned. Absolute disgrace. FIA will never learn I guess.

We can have hundreds of HALOs, HANSes, side impact structured, yet nothing will help when hitting a slowly going tractor.

the incident happened under local yellow, today it was red. The main one to blame is Gasly

Not only gasly but many other drivers passed the tractor with 0 warning

The FIA now cover themselves saying the red flag was out before gasly went past the tractor (like that makes it much better with these conditions). In reality the red flag seems to have been thrown 2 seconds before gasly passes the tractor - this is obviously problematic. They need to get a grip and not be so defensive in these situations when everyone wants just the best safety.
