The biggest issue Ferrari has is Charles. The guy is just out of this world over single lap that it gives a false sense of overal car's abilities and performance. The amount of overdriving he does over 1 lap could physically not be repeated over race distance, over and over again.
The car simply doesn't have the stuff to keep the pace over a race distance. It's not a driver fatigue problem. Tyres go off relatively faster than RB18 and that could be for various reasons. Max is also a hustler like Charles, but his car does well in race mode.
FYI, I meant exactly that - the car cannot keep up, not him! #-o

This is where experience comes in to the picture. take an example of Alonso with Ferrari 2010 and 2012, he brought the fight to till last race. This year ferrari could brought fight till last race but due to young drivers, Lec and Sainz, and Teams wrong strategy screwed the climax at AD.
I don't think Ferrari can win WDC and WCC with Lecrec and Saiz till they get some experience to how to handle the pressure.

2026 is the better chance for ferrai to win. It is very hard to beat RB till 2026. again repeat of 2010 to 2013.

Maybe in a fantastic world like Narnia. Since Hungary the F1 75 has been around 0.5 / 1s slower than RB in race trim. When a driver like Leclercs struggles to keep up with someone like Perez it means the car is nowhere near the RB.

The difference being: this year Ferrari is almost brilliant in qualifying trim, but lacks in race pace (be it due to tire usage or something else). In 2010 and especially in 2012 Ferrari was almost a dud in qualifying trim whilst they were brilliant in race trim. If I remember correctly, in those years Ferrari was always praised for being super gentle on tires which gave them more options in race trim, but hurt them in qualifying and opening few laps due to not being able to switch them on quickly enough.

I think Ferrari 2010-12 and 2022 failures are almost identical by the team snatching Defeat from the jaws of Victory after stellar driver performances.

Delusional. Ferrari got no chance even after perfect execution. Many here will need to realize that. RB simply had more low hanging fruit in setup and experince running as calm operation. Not to mention all that TD sagas. In witch we know who draw short end of stick.

Huge difference between Leclerc and Sainz in race trim, very similar to the difference between Perez and Max.

Leclerc and Max have been the best drivers by far this season.

WTF were yo watching? Ferrari ruined the championshi for both drivers and themselves, particularly with unreliability, and only after stupid strategies. Leclerc accomplished as much as possible, probably more than most could in the circumstances.

Kind of sad seeing Ricciardo as the worst teammate, even worse than Latifi... The fool should never have left Red Bull.

Indeed is painful to see him struggling so much. He has done amazing things in Formula 1.

Sadly, I don't remember her name, but Ferrari had a lady strategist a few years ago that was doing a fantastic job, but they lost her to another team (AR?). It's very clear now how important she was to their race success.

They should get her back ASAP, IMHO.

Ruth Buscombe? She joined Haas at the end of 2015.

Yes, I believe that is who I am referring to. I feel her moving is directly correlated to Ferraris downturn in strategy. They should make a hard play to get her back, and give her authority over all-things strategy related.
