Tyre deg will be critical. Might be the last chance of a Mercedes win this season.

What's with pretty much zero car pics in the car threads this week?

Nobody cares about taking pics of car develooment now that the championships are basically tied up already?

Very little car development I guess - but you're right that there aren't many photos of cars available on a given weekend compared to earlier in the year. Rather frustrating

Shall we say, everyone is afraid of Red Bull's cost breach situation and want to stick with the cap? :)

I guess no more development on cars for the rest of the year.

Looks like RB told everyone how they spent their catering budget for 2021 and everyone except Merc Alpine and Alfa copied RB for 2022......

Bs obviously.

I thought there would be half an hour of tyre testing today on top to the normal session - but it's actually the full 90 minutes of FP2:

"The entire FP2 session will be devoted to the tyre test, with Pirelli setting the run plan. If a team uses a young driver for FP1, it is allowed to run its own programme for some of FP2, before concentrating on the tyre test for the remainder of the session."

https://press.pirelli.com/2022-united-s ... preview-0/

So only those skipping FP1 will be allowed to use the "normal" tyres in FP2 for a certain amount of time. Should be a busy FP1 then.

According to Ted Kravitz, Sainz will take an engine penalty as well. No confirmation yet on the FIA website

Have Red bull always had a little slot in the 'eyebrows'?

Why do they need to red flag a session as soon as someone puts a wheel off track nowadays? Hugely annoying, what a waste of time.
