Red Bull and Leclerc will go into Quali with three sets of Softs only. Must be really worried about tyre wear tomorrow
In the case of Max (who isn't taking a penalty as far as I know) they're probably quite confident he can get through Q1 and Q2 on the same set of softs, or at the very least they're confident he'll only need one new set in Q3 to get the job done against the Mercs. And I'd agree.
yeah, but nonetheless very unusual - don't think I have seen this before. It'll probably be doable, but so far track improvement was huge, so it comes with a bit of a risk.
Going by FP3, I'd think it's still very open, by the way. Sainz may be no real contender in the race anyway, but could very well take pole. Usually Ferrari has more in hand in qualifying, and it was very close in practice.
