You rarely get an exciting race these days without the SC intervention. Not in this case, but I’m also convinced they throw it out, just for entertainment purposes, when a VSC would suffice.
This race was a stinker before Bottas beached it

You got that wrong, the first one gets ignored, the second one is a verbal warning and the third one is the reprimand.
It was clear to us that the driver of Car 18 made a late move in reacting to the overtaking attempt by the driver of Car 14 by moving to the left. The stewards determine that the driver of Car 18 was predominantly to blame.
Maybe a bit more travel, but you get a way better line through the first turn and are able to make the apex.....AR3-GP wrote: ↑23 Oct 2022, 23:49I don't like the grid spacings and the way it seems like the track favors the P2 starting car. Many circuits favor P2 off the line. Pythagorean theorem says the polesitter has to travel a longer distance in order to move over and defend the inside line. The net is an automatic loss of ground relative to P2.
What's the point of pole (on circuits other than Monaco), if you basically have to have the start of your life in order to keep the lead.
Inside line wins on most circuits.Rodak wrote: ↑24 Oct 2022, 01:08Maybe a bit more travel, but you get a way better line through the first turn and are able to make the apex.....AR3-GP wrote: ↑23 Oct 2022, 23:49I don't like the grid spacings and the way it seems like the track favors the P2 starting car. Was that your feeling during the race? I really thought Hamilton had it, the longer lasting tire. Max who needed to get Leclerc first, then close the gap, and then have enough tire left to make an attempt somewhere. Really glad it happened though. The RedBull top speed was a given, but knew it was over once we saw the medium tyres were holding on. It's just flashbacks of the days when Vettel was at RedBull, the car was perfectly in tune with the driver and the chance of Vettel making a mistake was close to zero. When you have that, it's a forgone conclusion in the races.
