Yes. It was. Guess Haas isn’t very choosy picky. They let it slide for Mercedes :D Max had a flappy left front wheel over the wheel aero thingy too.

Norris was also missing a full eyebrow on the front left.

This really ain’t going to get far .

If that’s the precedent that it’s going to become, cars will retire for a tiny bit of damage.

These F1 cars don't seem too sensitive to front wing out-wash. It's almost expected because the front wing end-plates were designed to minimize just that to aid overtaking.

I have never felt so vulnerable as a HAM supporter before.... The RedBull top speed was a given, but I knew it was over once Max's medium tyres were holding on. It's just flashbacks of the days when Vettel was at RedBull, the car was perfectly in tune with the driver and the chance of Vettel making a mistake was close to zero. Same with Max. When you have that, it's a forgone conclusion in the races.
That was about the same feeling every supporter of Fer or RB had eversince 2014 .. it kinda sucks as there's not much you can do.

On the Alonso crash, I was kind of worried by how long he stayed nose up. I wonder how close his car was to flipping due to its own aero
It was indeed truly amazing in didn't turn into a Webber-esque backflip.
It's even more insane that car was still able to race very well until the last lap. Kinda Hilux-alike damage proof ..

Came for video of Norris overtaking Alonso at the end…can’t sift through all this “banter”…worse than Reddit.

This season is somewhat akin to 2013, no? We almost had a championship battle but by Miami it was so obvious how this would go. I rather see Nico and Lewis battling 5 minutes up the road - to me a much more entertaining season race to race.

A great drive in a clearly superior car! Mateschitz has sure built a fine racing team.

I counted the number of dominant and contested WDC titles since 1983, and it turns out they are at a ratio of ~50% each, so statistically rival fans (and neutrals looking for a close contest) don't need to worry -- about every second season on average is contested, so it's possible that even 2023 already or 2024 at the latest could be contested.

Alonso's voice on the radio, right after his flight. Like, holy sh@t bro.

I was shocked the car didn’t go totally airborne. If it did, it would have ended up in the catch fence and been catastrophic.

Yes exactly. It remembers 2010 to 2013. Even lots of mistakes from vettel, he could still win.

I think it will happen for next rule change.

Dislike to Max and Red Bull is going to keep the fire burning for very long. Competition doing a bad job is their problem. A driver driving flawless is a sight to watch.

Hamilton had that flappy tire deflector in Monza as well. They haven’t been calling cars into the pits for it.

As was Mercedes for a damaged FW on Russell. Let's not make this partisan.

Shame on the FIA for being inconsistent with taking action on track, after having been rather decisive with kmag on previous occasions.
