Ocon's performance this weekend was worrying. Was it the floor upgrade? Didn't he have a new PU? :wtf:

That was also my worry in losing someone like Alonso. Alonso never has these walkabout race weekends. Ocon has far too many of them.

If i where FIA i would give 3-5 grid drop penanlty for the next race and at least 2 penalty points to stroll, just to make an example of this. But i am not FIA, it is just how i feel atm.
Good call from the stewards. As i told earlier, i hoped they would take the opportunity to use this incident as an example.

3 places grid penalty for the Mexican GP and 2 penalty points for stroll.

Yes good, correct decision. It was very dirty driving and has no place in motor racing as so dangerous.

Apparent pitlane start for Ocon.
Cause he was so far back anyways and he has no pace in Austin.

He sucked last year too. TO be honest, Alonso was taking some strange lines arount the circuit. He was often going deep in corners and missing the apexs. Maybe cause the bumps?

One hell of a drive from #14 finishing 7th in the race and #1 in Altitude!

It's one of those races that Rossi and Szafnauer will be looking at each other, and probably thinking silently how badly they miss judged the Alonso situation before the summer break.
I’m afraid Rossi and Szafnauer completely lack any ability for self reflection and self awareness…

Alonso was given a 30 second time penalty for the mirror. P15 is the final classification.

You can only laugh.

this abomination of a season.

That is so BS, there was no black and orange flag!

Guess it wasn't enough that he almost got knocked out of the race through no part of his own.

I guess Alpine will not protest, they´re fine with Alonso missing points, specially if that means Ocon gets an undeserved point and keeps above Alonso in the table... #-o

In another thread you told someone to stop the nonsense (which was right). So...what about you?

Unfortunately for Alpine, yes you are probably right.
