I dont think the RB sponsors will be unhappy after this season.
Was about to say I think seeing their logo on the top step the most in F1 history more than makes up for it
Nah... it will be back to business as usual. At Abu Dhabi they'll probably be a second off of pole. They keep missing out on golden opportunities and this is the last one they'll get this year imo. Why wouldn't they split the strategies at the start? They always get outfoxed by RBR, which is quite of embarrassing. Listening to the engineers plead to Lewis that the medium tire will eventually fall off and then seeing that it was definitely not going to happen. I mean come on. How can they be so ignorant about the tires this late in the season? It's not like it's the first time either, they've been burned by the hard tire before, in fact at the very fist race so you would think they'd learned their lesson. This car could have won today with a better tire strategy.
Not much can stop Max. By far the best driver on the grid by a decent margin.Sieper wrote: ↑31 Oct 2022, 00:07Well, getting that pole was super important for the win, I had thought turn 1 would be drama but it wasn’t, for once. That first stint was really great, on slightly used reds, that pace. When Lewis went on the whites and I saw the rear traction issues out of turn 3 I knew it was in the bag. 14 wins, wow.
In Brazil they will be a bit further off than here, and even further off in Abu Dhabi given the drag penalty that will be back again on those long straights at sea level. And speaking of drag, the unraceable RB will be untouchable on both tracks. Bring on 2023 so we can end this borefest.
Thats if 2023 levels the playing field. I still think it will be advantage those cars that can run higher at the rear.Tvetovnato wrote: ↑31 Oct 2022, 00:10In Brazil they will be a bit further off than here, and even further off in Abu Dhabi given the drag penalty that will be back again on those long straights at sea level. Not sure of that's true. But the combination is currently the best by far.chrisc90 wrote: ↑31 Oct 2022, 00:08Not much can stop Max. Their computer said so!AR3-GP wrote: ↑31 Oct 2022, 00:10It boggles the mind what Merc strategy team was thinking.
The winning strategy in 2021 was C4 and C3. The winning strategy in 2022 was C4 and C3. There was never any tire wear concern last year or this year. Cars were even harder on the tire last year with the higher speeds.
Why was Merc on the C2???
If people thought it would, there would have been more medium to soft runners.
