Machining and associated

Post

Guessing that there are members out there who make things but more importantly young people who want to, this first video is from an American company who is owned by a king of enthusiasm recently moving to Texas from California because of taxes! It shows a new lathe machine which has a Swiss approach to CNC machining that is different from the normal.
The reason I feel this is important is because of what they offer, free, how extraordinary
They run an academy that you can learn CAD, CAM, and CNC curriculum
https://academy.titansofcnc.com/

I invite others who have knowledge of non machined (which includes all the new 3D manufacturing) processes like carbon fibre etc to contribute.

This is the one that got me, even having worked in the metrology section for a short time I never came across this ( allowance calculations for deformation):
around the 33:43 mark

My degree is in physics, and I remember having to deal with minutiae like this for some problems.

The thing that would blow most people minds is the kimwipe bit at the end.

This fellow thinks outside the box, this was done on a manual lathe.

The camshaft talk can be ignored but to see the CNC do the profile is amazing. These modern cylindrical grinders use a sensitron which is an incredible advancement. Showing my age here.

Here is another professional machinist that I follow. He is German, but his English is very good.

He seems to specialize in small pats like this one!

The koenigs egg conrod reminds of a special rod made for a destroked suzuki turbo motor.
Made in 1999 in Melbourne for a Speedway car my old boss raced, for some reason it could not produce worthwhile gains.

Programming macros, segmented threading (wow!) and the Tornos CNC lathe, unique because of the fixed z axis tooling
