So “our friend” ruins the race for both, especially for Alonso who was dead last, and Alonso still manages to overtake him… Such a shame, Alonso could have maybe caused a few problems to the guys in front…
Yeah that was not a good drive from Ocon? Do you know if his car was overheating? Surely he wasn't that slow? It's worrying for next year without Alonso.

The thing is, I don’t believe Ocon had damage from that contact when he forced Alonso wide so I really don’t know…

I read elsewhere that Ocon had damage from T4 w/ Alonso.

Ocon had floor damage from the contact. I don't know which contact made the most damage. At first he complained about rear brakes not working, right after the incident that Alonso lost his front wing. His mechanic said ..we are checking.. and after a while they said to him ok, we have floor damage, we are gonna play with the switches at some turns to help mitigated the problem or something like that. I don' recall the exact words. I watched the onboards.
Also Ocon was told to let Alonso pass at the end to catch Tsunoda, At around the same time Alonso told the team, "Move him out of the way" :).. and his mechanic replied to him "yea, We are doing that mate" or something like that.

Sidepod damage on Ocon’s car after the incident with Alonso, which created the overheating problem and fire after the race:

He'll start dead last now with a new PU.

A new PU in this circuit, running it a bit on the high side, since it only has to hold for 2 races, can be quite powerful in an Alpine.

Not all units/teams can make a "2 race engine" that will definitely last for 2 races and provide more power.

No manufacturer can make a ‘special’ (one off) power unit to last just two races, the rules doesn’t allow that. But any team using a new power unit for just the last two races can start the last two races with the most extreme mapping they could produce.

I said running it on the high side. I didn't say specifically adding power to it. I don't know if they can add power or not without compromising reliability (maybe they can), but Running it on the high side could also be running certain maps for longer periods. I think that's quite possible since they know they need the engine for only 2 races.
