Gasly just been summoned for too big of a gap on sighting laps. Probably the same for Lewis. He was driving VERY slowly through turn 1 and the straight following.

Max (and his team) were probably wise to use the tyres today not tomorrow as it it one point per position lost today v 25 - 18 -15 etc tomorrow.

he saved mainly mediums, so I don't think it made much of a difference.

He has 2 fresh soft sets to others' 1 which confers some advantage, but judging by merc's pace I'd say it's going to be a tough race either way

It's going to be about 10 degrees hotter tomorrow. The change of track condition might change the performance of the cars.

I would hate that rule.

It would have to be more flexible than a straight 'you called a red, it's the back of the grid for you' but it has its merits.
I think they should also study some censure for cars pulled in during the race that could easily have been safely parked.

Agreed, Checo should have been let past. Thats a extra point for Checo. Not to mention a buffer for the race tomorrow with max inbetween.

I wonder if the mediums were a tactical choice for RB tomorrow. Granted there is plenty tyres in the pot, it does seem a odd choice.
