Anyone can become alongside during a dive bomb that has no prospect of actually making the corner.
This

Exactly the same as 2021

That’s definitely a racing incident.

A penalty is massively harsh

This is exactly what people do not understand today when it comes to racing. He did the same in Jeddah and Monza last year. Got penalties for both incidents. Just wish they were harsher so we could have some real racing.

Hamilton really is a moron, significantly alongside, you need to leave space

Sorry that I didn’t take into account his nationality before deciding on a penalty
Pathetic statement.

We need a miracle. We need only one racing lap.

He wasn’t alongside at all. Supposed to be knowledgable here, seems not
did you even see the replay from the top? or do we need to open the dictionary to say what "alongside" means? :D

You could say the same with George in France forcing Perez off.

Don’t forget max was ahead going into the corner, and still made the corner.

Those that say that he wouldn’t have made the corner, well that’s complete codswallop. That corner can be taken side by side and he had some right to racing room. Optimistic maybe but I certainly agree with Martin Brundle on this. You can’t just expect the car on the inside to disappear

I’d say Max was well alongside there
Problem is his trajectory never ever looked like actually going Round the corner, he was essentially on course to cut right across the track.
I agree. Probably the reason for the penalty
Aye, from the overhead shot Max doesn’t make much of an attempt to turn into the corner.

Max is behind through the braking zone. He got alongside too late, courtesy of dive bombing, like Monza in 2021. Hes gone in with so much speed, hes literally shoved Hamilton off track. if you are in control, you can contact another car without bumping them off track.

Stewards gave him a penalty anyway so I guess in max's words, Lewis did nothing wrong.

How was there any shoving off track when max was on the outside And made the corner still. No dive bombing at all

When HAM and VER are close on track... beware... VER did make a move which was difficult to accomplish, but HAM should've left more space. I would say racing incident.

Sorry I missed the contact through the left corner? Care to share it?
