Maybe so, but one makes sense (being on the racing line, expecting the other car to not essentially try to drive across the racing line) and the other is basically video game dive bomb maneuver where you go in too hot to make the turn and bounce off another car to change direction.
Car 1 was entitled to a cars width and car 44 didn't give it
Car 1 also has a responsibility to overtake without causing a collision.

Divebombimg into an impossible-to-turn-in position at the apex, doesn't do that.
Which is exactly the bit I’m contending. When you look at the still shot posted by Chris then I don’t see any evidence that he couldn’t make that corner. Can you?

In the opposite, would Verstappen have let more room to Hamilton... I don't think so, and everyone would've said "he took the racing line, Hamilton was not alongside him"

Rather dull race. A gift for Russell today, and he’s now controlling it comfortably.
Could do with a cheeky SC but of course that never happens when the race is dull.

Yeah you can bank on that.

Apart from Brundle the other commentators seem to agree with the MV penalty. Not surprisin as Brundle has made many wrong calls in his career, the guy is fallible.
Others are commentators, journalists. Brundle is ex driver.

Brundle wishing for a safety car typifies the state of this sport.

Who cares what Brundle thinks about safety cars?

Jesus, it’s a chicane, you go left. Hamilton can’t slow down anymore or
turn anymore. Max has gone on too hot and if you look at the next corner, he punts hamilton off without getting close to staying within the track. He also turns left towards Hamilton. You need to watch the whole sequence of 3 turns to work this out. As ever, verstappen refuses to concede that he’s lost a corner to Hamilton, brakes too late to properly take the corner and then doesn’t take the next

Mercedes really love to take tyres with plenty of life off of Hamilton.

I think DRS is too powerful on the main straight. Once you can come within a second, it's done.
