I'll admit, I thought Hamilton would eat George alive after the safety car. George has a steely nerve. No mistakes. They were saying he was so calm on the radio. He needs more drives like this though to really win people over.
George had the higher downforce set up, apparently, which is why he was able to gap Lewis in S2 and stay out of DRS range. Even without DRS, Lewis closed him down by a quarter of a second lap after lap in S1 and S3. S2 just kept him ahead. Great drive by George. Great drive by Lewis to fight back up to P2 again after the initial drop caused by Max.
Hamilton was gaining that 2 tenths on main straight!
Exactly. He was running a lower downforce and hence lower drag set up. He gained on the straights, George gained in the corners. Or S1 and S3 vs S2, as I said.

Marko should relegate Verstappen to AT for the last race.
You think anyone in Redbull, let alone Marko will say a single bad word to their golden boy? Not a chance.
I think behind closed doors they absolutely will! Don’t think Marko will mince his words. But we will probably never get to know this

The silliest thing about it is in many future races it means Perez will no longer fight as hard to help him.

So the extra place today will probably cost him many places in the future.
This 100%

I can't understand what kind of person would do this to a teamate, he's already WC so the points are meaningless to him, he had absolutly nothing to loose, it would only have won him even more loyalty from a reliable and solid teamate.

Just a stupid and mean move from Max, I can't see this going down well within the team, it's been a bad weekend and now they have to swallow this.

I wonder if Max wants Checo to finish lower than second in the driver title. That way it looks better for Max. If Checo is second, you'll get the same jibes that Hamilton has had over the last few years.

Slefish. Nothing to lose and just that little would have made the team happy. Goes to show team morale is not high on his list. The only men he needs to please are Marko (by being a ruthless racer) and most importantly Adrian Newey (by driving the car fast).

Eh, they’re all the same. Should George have let HAM pass so he doesn’t go the whole season without a win? George has MANY years to get a win. Should Sainz have let Charles through to help with P2? Carlos is already over 100 points ahead of Norris. Yes, it was a D*** move by Max, but it’s not surprising.
